Our Story

Refugees Helping Refugees Build a Better Future

SRR – Social Relief for Refugees was founded on September 23, 2023, right here in Kakuma Refugee Camp by refugees who understand the challenges our community faces. We are an independent, non-political initiative driven by one simple belief: everyone deserves dignity, opportunity, and hope.

Our Vision

A just and inclusive future where every vulnerable child lives with dignity, accesses opportunities, and reaches their full potential.

Our Mission

To empower orphans, children with disabilities, and vulnerable individuals through inclusive education, skills development, child protection, and health support, creating pathways to sustainable livelihoods and holistic well-being.

Our Program

Programs That Change Lives

Every program we run is designed with one goal: to bring hope and opportunity to those who need it most.

Inclusive education

We promote inclusive education by ensuring that all children and youth—especially those from vulnerable and displaced communities

Child Protection & Advocacy

We protect children from abuse and exploitation by promoting their rights, strengthening prevention systems, and creating safe, supportive environments where they can grow with dignity.

Disability Support

Our Disability Support program aims to promote dignity, inclusion, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities. We address physical, educational, and social barriers to ensure that individuals with disabilities can actively participate in education and community life.
